This machine is designed to provide a load to the tire under test for the purpose of noise generation investigation. The Noise Analysis Machine includes two major components—the motor/road wheel assembly and the tire spindle carriage assembly. The spindle carriage mechanism will provide vertical movement and horizontal movement of the tire spindle to control and measure the Fz loading.
The system will use a 2 meter diameter by 650 mm wide road wheel with the capability of using replaceable surface sections to implement different roadway surfaces for advanced noise testing.
The NVH software is designed to monitor and control several items at once to accurately record the tire testing results.
